I just forced myself to get out of my nice warm bed to TP my own living room and stage the mischievous Elf-vis to be caught in the act of TP-ing. I momentarily considered telling Paolo that the Elf took a sick day instead of staging tonight’s elf antics, but I convinced myself it’ll be worth it tomorrow when our son races out to see what trouble his elf is in now. He’ll also get his Operation Cheer mission for the day. Tomorrow’s mission will be to make a Christmas card for his teacher (and to bring it to her the next day). Today’s mission, “Do something to make your mom’s day easier” didn’t turn out to be a great success, but yesterday’s “Do something to make your dad smile” went very well. You win some, you lose some.
