Rainy Day Fun

Dinosaur Memory Game

Soccer was rained out last night so we tried to find other ways to entertain ourselves. While I was making a game of Memory for my nearly two-year-old nephew out of family pictures, P asked for the stamps and ink pad and started making his own game of Memory. He cut up paper and stamped two of each dinosaur stamp on those pieces. Voila! He had a brand new game of Memory…which we’ve now played 87 times. I’d never have thought of using stamps that way. It’s something even young kids can do on their own. I love it!June Easter Egg Hunt

Then we played Easter Egg Hunt. No, I haven’t put away the Easter stuff yet. Yes, we still play Easter Egg Hunt with the plastic eggs, and it’s fun. P delights in hiding them in super difficult places and watching me struggle to find them. I never have to struggle for long. He can barely stop himself from bursting out in giggles before he blurts out a super obvious clue. I didn’t need any help finding the one behind the soap though. 🙂

How do you keep your kids busy on rainy days?
