If you follow our field trips on social media you might have noticed we spend a lot of our winter time at Titletown. For Paolo it’s about the ice rink and socializing with his friends. For me though, it’s because it’s the perfectly curated walk-up winter experience.
Whether you usually dread winter or you adore winter (that’s me!), it’s a great spot to lift your spirits. It’s the perfect balance of hygge (flickering fires, festive greenery, twinkle lights and hot chocolate anyone?) and entertainment/outdoor fun (ice sculptures, ice rink, tubing hill, live music). For me, it’s the closest I can get to living in Stars Hollow with the Gilmore Girls. And this year especially we need all the warm fuzzies we can get.
It can be a free experience. Take in the lights, watch the skaters and tubers, do the scavenger hunt, warm your hands by the fire, listen to live music, admire the ice sculptures, or take a few great selfies as mementos. Or, you can spend some cash and fully immerse yourself with a beer, hot chocolate, or a latte, a snack or a meal in the cafe, a spin around the ice rink or a ride down Ariens Hill in a tube.
Titletown is lovely during the day but I think it’s at its best on a winter night under the twinkle lights. The space is just as charming in spring, summer, and fall, but for different reasons. That’s a post for another day.
Titletown and the Packers are on top of their marketing game. They don’t need my pitch or endorsement. I share this because I love it there, because it makes a difference in our lives, and I want to share this outdoors space with you. If you haven’t been yet, check out their website to scope it out.
Beautiful!
Thanks!
The Green Bay Packers have really made Titletown an inviting place to visit during the winter, that’s for sure. Love your photos!
Thank you!
