Our favorite Thanksgiving book this year is Bear Says Thanks by Karma Wilson. We’re also enjoying Turk and Runt by Lisa Wheeler, Turkey Bowl by Phil Bildner, Run, Turkey, Run! by Diane Mayr, Who Will carve the Turkey This Thanksgiving? by Jerry Pallotta and The Thanksgiving Door by Debby Atwell. Oh, and P doesn’t want us to forget The Magic Tree House: Thanksgiving on Thursday by Mary Pope Osborne. My crafty favorite is Thanksgiving Origami by Ruth Owen. What are your favorite Thanksgiving books this year?
I loved reading Cranberry Thanksgiving to my second and third graders.
Wouldn’t you know, Nancy, that Cranberry Thanksgiving just came in on hold for me at the library today? I’m looking forward to reading it with Paolo tonight.
I love that there are books for every season, holiday, life event, etc. Really helps kids connect. I don’t think we have any Thanksgiving books though!
