Our son had another Pokemon-themed birthday party to go to last week. I dread those. You spend a small fortune on Pokemon cards as a birthday gift and they fit in your jeans pocket. It just doesn’t look like much (or very exciting for that matter). Last year for P’s Pokemon-themed birthday I came up with these Pokeball goodie balls for the kids to take home and they were a hit!
So instead of wrapping the Pokemon cards or putting them in a gift bag, I decided to “wrap them” in a Pokeball. I picked them up at Factory Card Outlet for $.99 each, less than a cost of a gift bag. The balls are intended to be used with candy and can be found in the candy section. I threw in a little tissue paper and a packet of Pop Rocks (who doesn’t love Pop Rocks?) and I was done.
I rarely wrap gifts with paper at the moment. I prefer put it inside a paper bag, especially one with a decorated paper.
That’s a great idea. I like it!
