Done! Done? This is one of those things we’ve completed that we don’t want to be done with. We’re wrapping up summer this Labor Day weekend exploring the woods, playing baseball, breaking in a tent and hitting the local county fair. Guess what…there’s no room for any of those things in P’s summer passport. It’s already full!
P thought the passport was cool, but he didn’t clamor to add activities he’d finished or ask for stamps. For me, it’s been super valuable. Now I (we) have a little written scrapbook of the things he did this summer. Some of it with me and dad and some without. And he’ll have something to bring to school the first day to jog his memory if they talk about what they did this summer. We’ll definitely do it again next summer, but I think I’ll tweak it a little and make things a little more interesting….and add more pages, of course.
