Bubble Wrap Gift Tags: Give the Gift of Stress Relief

In case of emergency pop bubbles

Got Stress(-ed friends)?

We all have them, (we might even be them): stressed out friends that need a break, but can’t take one. It might be BIG stress like newborn-induced insomnia or a long-term illness. Or it could be smaller stress like preparing for a big family Christmas dinner. Whatever the cause of stress, we want to make things a little easier, right?

Give the Gift of Relaxation

Spa-themed gift baskets and gift certificates for a massage are great, but sometimes something simple is just the thing. Popping bubble wrap is relaxing, irresistible and sure to give someone a smile. It’s also inexpensive; you might even have some lying around at home from opened packages. I love inexpensive, fun gifts!

Supplies

  1. Bubble wrap
  2. Narrow ribbon
  3. Hole punch
  4. Card-stock

Make it!

  • Print In case of stress, pop bubbles gift tags and cut them out.
  • Punch a hole in the corner of each tag.
  • Unroll the bubble wrap and cut it into 4-inch strips.
  • Roll each strip and tie it up with ribbon and a gift tag.

Of course, now you have to resist the urge to pop the bubbles yourself, or in my case, keep the kiddos away from your cute little gifts long enough to give them to the truly stressed!

  1. hehe, cute. Last year at Christmas, one of the things I gave my sister was a roll of bubble wrap. She loved it! And it’s less than $5. You could do these stress gifts like you made for college care packs or teacher gifts. 🙂

    • I brought them in for my co-workers today only to find that my son had popped the bubble wrap. It did make us giggle though, so I guess it still relieved stress 🙂 I think I’ll update my post to include your ideas as well, if that’s okay.

  2. Oh, and it reminds me of the time my brother sent my son a HUGE box that was surprisingly light. And it cost like $40 to ship, that’s how big it was. I couldn’t imagine what was in it and found it was FULL to the brim with bubble wrap (he’s a bachelor with no kids so he can do that kind of stuff). Brady had the best time. We spread it out over the floor and he popped bubbles all day 🙂 Just had to share that.
