In my family, instead of fighting winter we try to embrace it. We get out there and make the most of the season. This year, all winter long I’ll share ideas for short winter field trips to make the snow and cold a little more fun. My hope is we’ll convert a few of you as you read about our winter outings.
Museums
Head to the museum! Get out of the house and wander the floors of a local museum for the afternoon. Big or small, museums are an inexpensive, warm and educational way to get to and have some fun during the winter months.
Today we spent the afternoon at the Neville Public Museum in Green Bay. We thought it would be pretty quiet on Packer game day, but we were wrong. It turns out they have a special exhibit right now: Touchdown! Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame, Inc. at the Neville Public Museum. Evidently checking it out is a great way for fans to prepare for the big game!
