This photo captures one of our “mom moments” pretty well. My mom was a little concerned for my safety while I was taking bike selfies. I explained that I’ve been taking selfies on bikes since before there were camera phones…before there was even a word ‘selfie’, for that matter. I wonder why it didn’t seem to make her feel better?
Moms: concerned for your safety when you’re not concerned at all…but should be.

This brings back memories of my traveling (over 18 yro) children that did just fine when they weren’t in my house. When they came home, the mother hen in me came out and wanted to over-protect them. Naturally, I got the “oh, mom” look but I think they knew I loved them too much not to tell them to be careful.
That’s exactly it, loving them too much to not say anything!
